10th Grade ASPIRE All 10th grade students will be taking the ASPIRE on October 28 from 8:15-12:30. It is part of the ACT testing program. Please report to 1st block for attendance and then to the middle gym. Bring a calculator.

College Planning Conference October 27, 2014-All juniors and seniors will be attending the College Planning Conference at Pittsburg High School. Please dress appropriately-no sweats. We will take attendance in 4th block and then load buses. We will return for seminar.

Elk's Most Valuable Student Scholarship 2015 Most Valuable Student applications are due to the Elks Lodge closest to the applicant's home by December 5, 2014. Applicants will be judged on scholarship, leadership, and financial need. Go to www.elks.org for information and to download an application. The local Pittsburg Elk's Club will also give local scholarhips. See Mrs. Ketterman if you have questions.

College Planning Conference FHS Juniors and Seniors will be attending the College Planning Conference at PHS on October 27 from 1:00-2:30pm. Students can register in advance at www.gotocollegefairs.com. More information to come.
WSU scholarship Through the annual Klose Scholarship Essay Competition Klose Scholarships are awarded to high school seniors with a passion for teaching. The three winners receive financial aid packages that will cover the cost of tuition for all fours years required to earn an education degree. To qualify, students must: be a high school senior graduating in spring, 2015; have an ACT composite score of 24 or higher or SAT of 1090 or higher; and be admitted to WSU by October 1 (ACT scores and GPA must also be received by WSU by that date); and declare a major in math or science education.
