SNAKE DANCE AND BONFIRE WEDNESDAY, OCT. 1 - 7:00 PM!!! for Frontenac Students and Community...Snake dance parade starts in the west parking lot by the cafeteria, snaking our way through town to the football field, cheering and yelling the Raiders to a victory!! GO RAIDERS...BEAT COLGAN!!! Hot dogs and drinks will be served at the field, following the pep rally, coaches' speeches, and ending with BONFIRE AND DUMMY!!!


PSAT-Juniors The PSAT is the qualifying test for the National Merit Scholarship Program. This is an annual academic competition for college scholarships. The cost is $14.00 and it will be given to juniors who sign up on Oct. 15 from 8:15-11:30. If you have any questions, see Mrs. Ketterman. YOU MUST SIGN UP AND PAY MRS. KETTERMAN BY OCT.6 in order to take the test. This is a voluntary program. Please discuss your choice with your parents.

Wendy's High School Heisman Wendy’s is looking for the next class of remarkable students who excel in academics, athletics, and community involvement. The 2014 Wendy’s High School Heisman award application process is underway. Now through October 3, 2014, class of 2015 graduating seniors can apply at www.wendyshighschoolheisman.com. To be eligible, a student must have maintained at least a ‘B’ grade point average, participated in one of the 27 sports officially sanctioned by the National Federation of State High School Associations, and demonstrated active involvement in his or her community. National Winners receive: Recognition during ESPN’s national telecast of the college Heisman Memorial Trophy presentation in New York City A Wendy’s High School Heisman trophy and Heisman Patch $10,000 for their high school $500 Wendy’s gift card

College Fair Students are cordially invited to attend the Four States Regional College Fair scheduled for Wednesday, October 1st, 2014 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. The fair will be held in the Leggett & Platt Athletic Center on the Missouri Southern State University campus in Joplin, Missouri. College Planning Conference FHS Juniors and Seniors will be attending the College Planning Conference at PHS on October 27 from 1:00-2:30pm. Students can register in advance at www.gotocollegefairs.com. More information to come.


WSU scholarship Through the annual Klose Scholarship Essay Competition Klose Scholarships are awarded to high school seniors with a passion for teaching. The three winners receive financial aid packages that will cover the cost of tuition for all fours years required to earn an education degree. To qualify, students must: be a high school senior graduating in spring, 2015; have an ACT composite score of 24 or higher or SAT of 1090 or higher; and be admitted to WSU by October 1 (ACT scores and GPA must also be received by WSU by that date); and declare a major in math or science education.
